European Migrant Platform (EMP) is a newly established NGO in Brussels that advocates for the rights and dignity of migrants in Europe. We are a group of passionate, established migrants and want to use our experience to add value to society we live in and to the world in general.
EMP has a strong network of migrants across Europe. It cooperates with different stakeholders, both at national and international levels. As a migrant association, we have members and volunteers coming from different backgrounds, including teachers, doctors, academics, entrepreneurs, journalists and experts in various fields.
EMP creates opportunities for migrants to participate in society through facilitating exchange between migrants, public authorities and engaged civic society and through contributing to the creation of meaningful interactions among these actors.
EMP encourages active participation of migrants and refugees in all sphere of the local life including local economies, arts, sports, public institutions, and volunteering. Active involvement of migrants in shaping their local community can help to demonstrate their positive contributions and to overcome trust barriers.
EMP empowers migrants and host communities which is the best way to achieve sustainable and successful integration.
EMP helps to strengthen cohesion in local societies and communities by delivering valuable information to all relevant stakeholders.
EMP builds up a mutual trust which plays a crucial role in the integration processes of the migrants and refugees into the host countries.
EMP listen to those working with migrants and migrants themselves and create innovative projects that are fully based on the empowerment of people.
